I quite agree that if you are actually a starving student,  you should not visit Starbucks for your bean juice.   Most  financial gurus  express this rather forcefully,  but I also think you should eat out very seldom if you are in such a situation.   The reason I don’t visit the coffee chain is because I don’t like their coffee  — any of it.  I have tried coffee beans from all over the world,  and the best to me is Costa Rican,  mountain estate grown.   It’s low acid and quite delicious,  whether you take it black or with a bit of cream and sweetener as I do.

That said,  learning how to prepare healthy,  delicious and inexpensive meals will save you many thousands of dollars over the years.  It requires some time and attention, but it isn’t very difficult.   I am fortunate to have enough land to grow not only flowers,  but also vegetables and herbs.  That is also not terribly hard to achieve.   Do it and become your own hero,
