What stale hell…

…is this?  Liberal thinker Ruth Bader Ginsburg says she has at  least five  more years on the Supreme Court.  That means five more years of trying to explain to her that she works for America and that the only laws that matter are American laws,  including the U.S. Constitution,  a document with which she often seems unfamiliar.

I don’t wish her ill fortune, but I would be very happy to see her totter off into the sunset.  She seems to need a good deal more sleep than she’s getting,  since she tends to nod off everywhere,  so I would consider her immediate retirement as a gracious acknowledgement of reality.

…probably won’t work for  this guy.   I’d venture that the only thing in this world he is good at is making terrible decisions,  repeatedly..

Astronomical streaming…

The USA was not one of the locations able to view the Blood Moon,  but NASA and other outfits  captured it all  on tape for us.  I’d rather see these displays captured for me by professionals than bear the disappointment of Brits who were stymied by rain and clouds.

You haven’t…

…heard it from MSM or the cable talking heads,  but the economy is actually  humming along  pretty well.   The government is still spending far too much money (write your Congress critters and demand restraint!),  but despite that the annual growth is considerably better than under the Obama Administration.

Most media will latch onto an  erroneous report  that wages are falling.  There is little likelihood that they are.   Remember Mark Twain’s famous warning:  There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Big blood moon…

leave a comment »

The full moon will turn blood red tonight as the longest total lunar eclipse of the century takes place in the skies from Australia through Africa, as    Accuweather  explains here.

National Geographic explores the  double feature  which will occur within this celestial event,  and happily you need no special equipment or knowledge to enjoy all of it.

UPDATE:

Regrettably, few in North America will be able to see the actual event, but there will be live streaming  available here  or  here  or at The Weather Channel and  other places.

Nikki’s kicking it…

After Pres. Trump concludes his second term,  I’d like to see a Pence/Haley ticket.   Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley,  now the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations,  is a formidable lady.   Though she is younger and more attractive,  she has the steely strength of America’s first female U.N. ambassador,  Jeane J. Kirkpatrick,  and the ability to deliver a hot soup of truth to her corrupt colleagues who feast on words and moral preening.   She just offered up precisely such a dish  on the  hypocrisy of the Arab states on the Palestinians.   She didn’t scold or sneer,  she just laid out the brutal truth,  stripped of hypocrisy and and posturing.
