If you want to know just how screwed up ObamaCare is, have a look at these charts showing the organization. The original was bad enough, but the one reflecting the actual bill is enough to make you hurl. I held these, thinking someone would offer another or better chart, but when even the government gave up trying to figure out how many new creations it would have to midwife, I think everyone just quit, too.
In essence, you will have less access to health care in order to pay for the government bureaucrats pretending to run the entire health care system. Doesn’t that make you feel special?
As Cal Thomas explains, the National Health Service is coming to America, only our version will cost even more.
If your head hasn’t exploded yet, try navigating this small business ObamaCare tax credit chart. I’m a small business, and I got a headache within the first 5 minutes.
Fortunately, there is a new antidote to this stream of misinformation and outright lies. Yuval Levin explains the benefits of this new organization, ObamaCareWatch.org, here. Bookmark it and use it often.
If you watch no other video this week, watch this one of Rep. Thaddeus McCotter that Veronique de Rugy at The Corner noted for us all. He has his facts together (I checked some of them too) , and there is no denying that, while Obama may have caused progressives to regard anew government as a useful weapon for controlling the masses, he has made the general public’s mistrust and dislike of government very much worse. Big Government has a transcript here but you really ought to watch.
His Oneness has embarked on his post-legislation selling tour against a backdrop of: more sleaze oozing out; more uncounted consumer health costs; Fidel Castro applauding his takeover of health care; gasoline rising a dollar a gallon under his watch; and the Gray Lady reporting that Social Security will be paying out more than it’s taking in this year. Oh, and the UN approves of ObamaCare!
If the Attorney General of your state isn’t filing suit against the federal government over the health care snatch, shouldn’t you ask why?
Greg Mankiw offers an interesting post, while Sen. Chuck Grassley suggests His Oneness, The Mouth, cabinet members, and top White House staff be put under the new health care system so they’ll be knowledgeable about it (h/t Daniel Foster at The Corner).
If you’re curious as to why His Oneness is now going on a tour to amp up support for the bill which he’s signing Tuesday, it’s because the White House and progressives knew We the People hated it, yet passed it anyway. I think this proves how wide and deep the antagonism is.
More cases like this one showing the benevolence and sweet reason of Medicare, won’t be drowned out by, to borrow a phrase from Jonah Goldberg, more cowbells. More cartoons such as this won’t help either.
WSJ has a fine piece on the blood and guts of the health care deal.
In her floor speech, Nancy Pelosi mentioned “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” I’ve already left a message at her office that she is making my life harder, depriving me of my liberty, and hampering my pursuit of happiness.
She also told a fine collection of whoppers, including that this was being done “for Americans”, despite the fact that a majority of us want nothing to do with this socialistic spawn.
The amusing thing was that she followed Minority Leader Boehner, who delivered a real stemwinder of a speech.
Nate Beeler offers a perfect summation.
