Would this not…
…make the most wonderful campaign poster? I’d love to see it plastered on billboards across the country. The words are literally true. You should remember Sen. Chuck Schumer’s not-so-veiled warning that if you go after the intel community it has many ways to come after you. He was correct, of course, but I don’t think for a moment that Pres. Trump didn’t understand this precisely, and he was willing to charge into it anyway. When he hired William Barr as Attorney General, I suspected this was the case. Barr left a very lucrative and comfortable private practice to help Trump clean up the Swamp, and her had no illusions about the hornet’s nests he would be kicking over.
Trump is volunteering to continue standing in the way of the anti-freedom, America-hating Democrats. Help make it possible for him to do so.
Robots on the range…
This video features Ralph Petroff of Marathon Targets talking about his company’s realistic shooting targets. They are human-like forms, mobile, and dodge and scream, providing a much more realistic experience on the range than paper cut outs or static targets.
If you wonder why any of this matters, the more practice one has with something similar to what the real-world event will be like, the better one will handle the reality. If you’re law enforcement or military, such practice may be worth your life.
New hate speech…
It is now against the law in New York City to threaten someone with a call to immigration authorities or refer to them as an “illegal alien” when motivated by hate. Fines of up to $250,000 per offense can be levied. The first problem is that all the decisions will be made by City Hall’s Commission on Human Rights, which I would characterize as a bunch of bureaucrats who glory in their own power and abuse people at will.
Guess who the people the Commission doesn’t like are — you. American citizens are to be first in line for punishment and last in line for consideration. This is the same view as every Democratic presidential candidate, make no mistake.
Black teacher wins…
Aaron Benner won a sizeable settlement from the St. Paul, MN School District last week over its retaliation for his speaking out against its race-based student discipline policies. The discipline policies, approved by then-Superintendent Valeria Silva and promoted by Pres. Obama, aimed to reduce suspensions of black students by lowering the expectations for behavior and increasing the threshold for suspensions, something Benner repeatedly, publicly argued was against the best interests of black students.
The “restorative justice” approach to student discipline came with “white privilege” teacher training sessions costing district taxpayers over $3 million. The sessions focused on the “white privilege” theory that the public education system is hopelessly stacked against black students, who shouldn’t be held accountable for poor academics or bad behavior.
My hat is off to this brave and wonderfully stubborn young man who has saved so many students from the hideous abuse of public education run by fools. The District is of course whining that it did nothing wrong.
Grilled hypocrisy…
Or meat for me, but none for thee. The Dems just held their annual steak-fry to entice voters, but the candidates have all been telling us to eat less meat to save the planet and be healthier. 10,500 steaks at a single event in Iowa sounds awfully hateful against the climate, doesn’t it? And they aren’t frying the steaks, they are using really large grills. One more example of Democrats having no idea what they’re doing.
Candace Owens destroys Democrats…
On Friday the House Oversight Joint Subcommittee held a hearing on confronting white supremacy. Candace Owens testified. She acknowledged that while white supremacy and racism do exist, black American face bigger threats, which Democrats have not merely ignored, but also created. So say that she owned them would be a severe understatement. Watch or read and enjoy.
I so enjoy…
…watching someone throw Rev. Al Sharpton’s racist, corrupt, bigoted past in his face. That Rep. Matt Gaetz delivered this history lesson in front of the House Judiciary Committee made it even better. I’m a bit surprised Chairman Nadler didn’t have a stroke to go along with his meltdown.
Which is it, Facebook?
Facebook has always based its legal immunity on a law which protects platforms. But now it is invoking its free speech right as a publisher, so that its ability to claim users are extremists is protected. The law which protects platforms does not protect publishers, so in claiming its status as publisher, it has lost the protections of the law regarding platforms.
It appears that the smart boys at Facebook have maneuvered themselves into a legal blind alley they will have serious trouble trying to back out of. I confess this pleases me, because I found the company overbearing, autocratic and downright nosy before Laura Loomer filed suit.
Sleeping citizenry…
Less than half of us can name even one of our local Congressman or recognize our own governors if we met them on the street. We pay no attention to politics, yet feel entitled to complain incessantly about them. You needn’t become a political junkie, but at a bare minimum you should let your local officials hear from you. Was that dreadful pothole down the street fixed properly? Thank your mayor. Is the streetlight at the corner still not working even though three of your neighbors have reported it in the last 8 days? Tell your mayor — that is his job.
Your Congress critters all have emails, but most of them will accept emails only from their own constituents. But quick computer search will give you the addresses and phone numbers of all their offices. I don’t write letters often because they all have to go through enhanced security procedures which delay them. I prefer postcards, which avoid the procedures and are cheaper. The smaller space also forces you to be more precise — or pithy, as Bill O’Reilly said so often on his show. There are many small things you can do to help protect yourself, your family, your friends, your business.
These people have the power to destroy your lives, so hop to it, folks.
