Freeing a Christian…

I certainly hope that Sudan  completes negotiations  with the U.S. to release Meriam Ibrahim  and her husband and two children,  after imprisoning her twice for the crime of being Christian,  but I wonder why our State Department didn’t snap her up the first time she was released.

Did it offer her sanctuary this time because so many people were watching,  and it presented an opportunity to pretend that the federal government under His Oneness actually gives a damn about Christians?   Of course, she is but one of many so persecuted.
