Irony in wind and water…
How ironic that just a day after the venerable Times-Picayune newspaper, which did such heroic reporting during Hurricane Katrina when it devastated New Orleans, announced it was no longer printing an edition daily, Hurricane Isaac should come calling on Cajun country.
Christie lit it up…
Gov. Chris Christie gave the best convention address I’ve ever heard. If you didn’t watch it live, you missed a treat, but you can read the text here, courtesy of The Drudge Report. It was a big-ball speech, a serious one full of challenge and opportunity.
Former Rep. Arthur Davis gave another significant speech, in which he laid bare the failures of His Oneness, and candidate Mia Love richly deserved the applause she received.
You might also enjoy Lt. Governor candidate Sher Valenzuel’s speech, here, and Gov. Scott Walker’s, here, and certainly candidate Ted Cruz’s, here.
This site has videos of all the speeches. (h/t Lucianne.com)
