Ideology, not science…

If you aren’t familiar with the Transterrestrial Musings site, visit it.  Rand  Simberg claims he’s ” just a recovering aerospace engineer.”    He is also scientifically literate,  tech-savvy,  and just plain smart.

He proves it with this analysis of the speech on science His Oneness proffered today.

As for me,  I won’t be holding my breath on the Obama Administration employing real science any time soon.    I take this speech to mean that His Oneness wants all research to be government-funded and therefore government-controlled,  which means the only research anybody will do is on the things he wants.  Oh,  joy!

But karma visited again,   as the magical speaker outran his teleprompter.
