Tree on the lake…

leave a comment »

At Port Renfrew,  British Columbia,  a submerged log is sticking up out of Lake Fairy.   Atop that log is undoubtedly the pluckiest little Douglas  Fir tree  in the world.  The  log is its anchor in the water,  its sole source of sustenance.   People boat past it and take pictures of its rather bonsai shape,  but no one feeds it.    It does not look particularly healthy,  but one could hardly expect otherwise.   The point is,  it is a tough living creature,  doing the very best that it can to survive.   You need to be like that tree,  tough,  resolute,  determined.     If you pull the lever on November 3 for Democrats,  you will be voting for President Kamala Harris and Vice President Nancy Pelosi.   If you have not yet figured out that they are authoritarian harpies,  you need to wake up before their jack boots crush you.

Clever cat…

…thank heavens Big Girl hasn’t learned how to open doors as  this clever kitty  has.   I imagine the NYPD guy who got  stuck up a tree  with the cat he was trying to rescue wishes he had been dealing with the first feline.
