Here are some  simple tips  for deciphering the body language of your dog or cat.   Having owned one or the other for decades,  I can say that these rules hold up well for the vast majority of normal animals.

Even if you don’t love cats,  you’ll have to admire  this cat sanctuary  in Hawaii,  which lets visitors cuddle cats all day,  or adopt one,  for free.

Parrot vs cats…

How does a parrot flummox three cats?   He  meows at  them.   Kittens meow to their mothers,  but once they become adults,  cats meow only to humans.   No wonder these kitties are confused!

Jock VI moves in…

Winston Churchill was given a marmalade cat by one of his private secretaries,  who he named the cat for.  It was his wish that there always be a cat named Jock at Chartwell,  and that wish is  being fulfilled  anew by the introduction of Jock VI.

Or at least  that’s what  one study shows your own cat thinks,  and it would certainly explain some of their attitude towards humans.   I had cats as a child and quite enjoyed them,  but I prefer dogs as a species.
