Easy way to kill…

There are approximately 1 to 3 million Uighurs in  concentration camps  in northwestern China.   They are Muslims and the ChiComs have for years grabbed such people and taken them off for re-education,  claiming they are tied to Islamic extremists and are a bad influence on good Chinese citizens.   Wouldn’t it be oh so convenient if the coronavirus were to make its deathly way into the friendly environment of the camps’ appalling conditions and kill everyone within before the poor authorities could do anything to prevent it?

Anti-Shariah = Islamophobia…

At least  according to  the BBC and the hysterical Muslims it featured recently.   Muslim activists have long been using lawfare to force compliance with their wishes,  and too many Western governments are pitifully easy to cow into subservience.   For the record,  strict adherence to Sharia requires that Islamic law be recognized as supreme in all matters,  meaning that inconvenient little documents like our Constitution and Bill of Rights are used by the activists until they are no longer convenient for their purposes,  at which time they will be ignored.

Of course,  progressives would also like to do away with the First and Second Amendments,  just as His Oneness is trying to do via backdoor regulation,  which is precisely what Queen Hillary would do.   My response is that any person or government who seeks to destroy those vital rights is planning on doing something so egregious that the only proper response would be the full use of those protections.

 

 

How can you…

…expect to defeat Islamic jihadists if you  arrest someone  for merely tweeting something about Muslims?   Apparently,  being guilty of  “stirring up hatred”  is far more serious in Britain than actually slaughtering infidels.   God help the land of some of my ancestors.

 

Canada fail…

Canada’s much-vaunted Human Rights Code,  which has gotten a lot of people in trouble,  including Mark Steyn,  is  being subverted  to keep Muslims from having to obey it.   Don’t kid yourself  —  Muslim bullying works.

 

 

French mother kills teacher…

I’ve looked at  this story  in 27 different publications from four different countries.   You’ll find the mother’s name nowhere,  and only vague hints as to her nationality and other background information.  The truth probably is that she is Muslim.  If she were Catholic or some other sort of Christian,  no one would hesitate to mention it.   The truth is revealed by the very absence of her religious beliefs.

These media outlets are committing journalistic malpractice on a grand scale.   I’m beginning to think they don’t deserve the protection afforded to them by our Constitution.

Is there a deal?   I’m with Quin Hillyer,  and much more oddly,  Chris  Cillizza at  the WaPo  — a bad deal just  isn’t worth it.   Our Preener in Chief,  as Yuval Levin so aptly titles Obama,  has already promised to blame Republicans for going over the cliff,  but he is going to blame them for whatever shortcomings he thinks the gullible press and public will buy,  so there’s scant downside to standing up for a principle or two.

The Left  is already having hysterics at the thought that anyone with income of a quarter million may escape higher  taxes,  but silently cheering the thought that the military,  having already been cut $500 billion,  will be cut even more severely.   Besides,  the draft of the new U.S.  Army manual  will pretty much render it useless as a fighting force in Muslim areas,  and kill its moral standards permanently.

Whatever the deal is,  it will be some version of kicking the can a short distance down the road.   Perhaps most of us will be reduced to the life of a  real Mrs. Bilbo  Baggins.   Oh, wait — local planning commissions would never allow such a thing,  would they?

Christians attacked…

In Dearborn,  Michigan,  by Muslims.   And this isn’t the first time,  but it is the worst to date.  I expect that next year Christians will be completely banned from the area so as not to upset the sensitive little children attending the Arab International festival there.

And mainstream media will not report it.

NASA’s new mission…

His Oneness has declared the space agency’s new prime directive is to help  Muslims bolster their self-esteem.   It has been many centuries since they world contributed anything to science,  unless you count their creative use of  others’ technology to blow people up.    I’m sure attention from NASA will prevent any more of these incidents.

Elliott Abrams offers his thoughts,  here.     Victor Davis Hanson wonders if NASA doesn’t  have  something better to do.   John Derbyshire  gloomily acknowledges the huge changes there.   Former director Michael Griffin calls it a  “perversion”.

Feel safer now?

Five Muslim soldiers may have been involved in trying to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson,  SC.    They  were part of an Arabic translation service.

Meanwhile,  Obama’s top counter-terrorism  adviser says he is a citizen of the world,  just like His Oneness,  would never profile Americans and sees bias against Muslims like that against the Irish.

If you will not name your enemy,  you will not defeat him….

And Homeland Security  has lost nearly 200 guns, nearly 300 if you include those lost due to Hurricane Katrina and lifted from safes.

What’s behind Russia’s military build-up?

The New York Post has an interesting column on why Russia has embarked on a renewal of its military.

Note that Russia wants to halve the number of troops, with the Muslim half  being released, the goal being a military composed of ethnic Russians, presumably less likely to have divided, or entirely misplaced, loyalties.

Are there any lessons we should draw from this, since we already have a thoroughly professional,  volunteer military?
