The federal government hitched its collective panties into a wad and declared the District of Columbia a federal employee-free zone on Wednesday  because of the snowstorm  which might possibly hit.   They were still paid of course,  meaning that  about $70 million  of your tax dollars were wasted,  unless you hold the opinion that it is cheaper to pay federal employees for not working than it is to have them at work making mischief.
