Election interference…

Why is it that Democrats have hysterics at the mere thought of Russia trying to influence U.S. elections,  but think it’s just fine for Obama to send operatives to israel to keep Benjamin Netanyahu from being re-elected?  Not a  peep about  Al Gore transporting his own wide body to Australia to swipe some reflected glory from the “climate change election” that the Labor Party  could not  lose.   Except to the astonishment of all,  the voters did not obey Gore and the eco-Nazis,  and a conservative coalition won.   How did everyone  get it  so wrong?   Will American Democrats  learn anything  from this?   Will they believe it was some sort of  populist wave  as The New York Times erroneously claims?

UPDATE:  Here is  a look at the truth of the Australian elections and the point I hope the Democrats miss.

Gore loses his last marble…

Now he’s claiming  that climate  change is causing desperate migration to avoid its changes and that the invasion group testing our borders is merely the beginning and it’s all our fault because we won’t enrich his climate cronies by sending the USA back to the 18th Century.   The trouble is that many of the Hondurans massed in Mexico are from a prime coffee-growing region of Honduras, not from a place with empty soil.

knowing this,  it’s not hard to see why the U.S. military gave Gore a notebook and pencil and minder, and put George Bush in a fighter jet so notoriously difficult to fly it was nicknamed the “widowmaker.”   Bush could have done much better,   but Gore would have been so much worse…

Paris lockdown…

…didn’t stop the  yellow-vest  riots.   Now the rioters are torching everything in their path,  creating hazards  in Brussels and Amsterdam as well.  The headlines mention  vague causes  such as cost of living, and fuel prices,  and the like.  The actual problem is that French President Macron bought into the United Nation’s latest fit of global warming hysteria which would have necessitated throwing Western societies back into the Victorian Age at least.

Don’t you remember when Barack Obama said he had to destroy the coal industry and that gasoline prices had to rise to $7 or $8 per gallon to achieve the necessary climate goals?   Apparently what’s left of the French middle class  isn’t thrilled at the prospect  of involuntary time machine travel.  Democrats could learn something from this, but I doubt they will draw the correct conclusion from the riots,  which is that the rioters have bats and sticks and bricks, but no Second Amendment to protect them from a tyrannical government.  We do…That’s something to think about if it crosses  the ocean.

In the meantime,  Macron is  in trouble  on all sides.

Bernie is strident…

…about climate change,  calling it  a “planetary crisis.”   But like another climate hypocrite,  Al Gore,  he likes  private jets  and uses them.   His campaign claims it purchased carbon offsets which in theory allows polluters to cancel out their emissions by funding projects aimed at reducing emissions.   It’s actually one of the schemes which made Gore a rich man in addition to being a failed presidential candidate and a man who really needs to lose weight.   And if you believe this malarkey,  I have some high ground on the Florida coast I’d be willing to sell you for a fine price….

Zinke is right…

Only a climate hysteric could claim with a straight face that climate change is causing the  horrific fires  in the West,  and that all the dry tinder piled up in California forests has nothing to do with them.  To build a fire easily,  you need material which will burn.  Ask any Boy Scout.  Oh, wait, the Boy Scouts probably don’t teach that any more.  Ask a boy in  Trail Life  —  he will know how to build a fire,  read a compass or a map,  and accomplish some other very useful things.

I live on a couple of acres of land —  some of it open,  some of it woodlands.  I leave some deadfall trees and shrubs around so the wildlife has access to food and shelter,  but I routinely rake up leaves to put in my composter or put in piles at the edge of the woods.  I grow many of my own vegetables and herbs,  and I plant wildflowers and rescued plants everywhere — the leaf mold protects moisture and provides nutrition so the new plants are more likely to thrive.  But I clear away dead limbs and other debris so that if lightning strikes or there is a wildfire,  there will not be an abundance of highly flammable material on the ground.

I have long known that most so-called environmentalists actually understand very little about the environment,  and very few of them have ever managed anything larger than a flower pot.   Sec. Zinke may not have a forestry degree,  but as a former Navy SEAL he has an abundance of common sense.   Let him know you support his efforts.

Salting the air…

leave a comment »

The latest geoengineering  theory says  that placing a large amount of salt into the air will stop climate change.   There’s little science behind it,  and of course they haven’t gotten around to thinking about what salty rain will do to plants…..

But global warming isn’t about science, and it isn’t about the Earth, and it’s about humans only to the extent that it can be used to control people.  The ordinary folks who believe in global warming have seldom managed any plot of land larger than a 6 inch flower pot.  They know little of nature and nothing of real science.   You would be smarter to step in front of a speeding train than to take advice from any of them.

Just a sham…

The U.N. Environment Program’s latest report says that  despite the Paris climate accord,  which gave a billion U.S. taxpayer dollars to the globalist cronies of His Oneness,  we are still doomed unless we all do much more.

The much more includes:  boosting renewable energy’s share to 30%; pushing electric cars to 15% of new car sales, up from less than 1% today; doubling mass transit use;  cutting air travel CO2 emissions by 20%; phasing out all coal-fired power plants;  and coming up with $1 trillion for “climate action.”

The new money is supposed to come from the USA,  of course,  and all of this must be done by 2020.   This is not merely impossible,  it is flat-out wrong.  China is not about to surrender its coal-fired plants and neither are the developing countries who depend on coal as a cheap energy source.  Those who promote electric vehicles fail to take into account that large swaths of the U.S. power grid are already unstable  — try California as an example,  with its blackouts and brownouts during peak demand times.

The entire climate science enterprise is a fraud,  designed to transfer money from the united States taxpayers to globalist crooks.   The acolytes of the environmental movement are people like actor Leonardo Dicaprio,  whose carbon footprint is enormous since he lives like a typical hollywood star and uses private airplanes as transport.  Yes,  the true green believers do try to live smaller lives, but most of them have never managed anything larger than a flower pot.  I grow fruits and herbs and vegetables for five families and I do it quite well.   I do not need someone who has killed every houseplant they were ever given telling me how to live my life.  I certainly need no advice from Al Gore,  who conveniently bought himself a fine house on the California coast despite the fact that by his claims it would be underwater in the near future.

Environmental claims are also a means to frighten the populace and exert control,  which leads me to say “green outside,  red inside” as a reference to the number of communists who were early adopters of the environmental movement for that very reason.  It’s little different from  progressives claiming that whatever damaging legislation they propose is “for the children”,  because that sounds so much more emotionally appealing than “this will give us more control over your life.”

The Paris agreement ignores two crucial points:  one,   that consensus is not science, and two,  that a theory’s test results must be repeatable.   The U.N. currently has over a dozen climate change computer models,  and yet,  no matter how much data is stuffed into them,  not a single one can spit out an accurate forecast for LAST WEEK’s weather.   The global warming enthusiasts have been caught lying and jiggering data repeatedly,  yet most of them still have their jobs,  and many of them swing happily from the government teats so they have no reason to practice actual science and many reasons to cheat.
