Blade runners…

Twenty-two year old Oscar Pistorius has already  made history  by competing in the Olympics,  but now he has met an adorable five-year old Ellie Challis who gets around on a miniature version of his carbon blades.   The fact that he let her win all their  “races”  means he knows how to treat children,  and both of them demonstrate what difficult challenges the human spirit can overcome.

NYPD partners with Microsoft…

Why would any police department depend on  a crime-fighting system  subject to the whims of Microsoft?   Apparently,  the NYPD helped develop the system.  Did you know that most of our military systems also run on Microsoft  —  Windows to be specific?  Do any of you think this is wise?
