C.I.A. vs Syria…

It seems to have just now  occurred to the C.I.A.  that Bashar al-Assad is likely to fall,  putting Syria’s chemical and biological weapons up for grabs.   His Oneness seems to approve of the better-late-than-never modus operandi even when it comes to national security.

Detroit surprise…

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing this week  announced a new contract  for city workers which cuts pay 10%,  followed by hundreds of layoff notices.   Most workers will have to pay more for their health insurance.  Union bosses are predictably screaming  “Union-busting!”   One can’t ignore the irony of Motor City turning on the union labor which once earned Detroit that moniker.
