Obama and O’Reilly…
Bill O’Reilly began with thanking Obama and his State Department for helping rescue some FOX personnel in Egypt. His Oneness was gracious.
Obama isn’t very fluid without his teleprompter. Saying “Egypt can not go back to what it was” is just stupid. Nobody thinks it will go back to Mubarak, but most know it can go forward to something much worse — like control by Islamists.
There are “strains of their ideology that are anti-American”? Oh, please — the Muslim Brotherhood is all about anti-Americanism and Islamic rule.
He says Florida judge Vinson was wrong on ObamaCare. Another repeat of “I don’t want to spend the next two years re-litigating it. ” He claims opinion on ObamaCare is evenly divided. He thinks it was the process, not the law, which people might not like. If that were true, the process is over, so everyone should love it.
He is still repeating that if you like your health care you can keep it, which is patently not true. Oh, and universal coverage isn’t socialistic. Why is His Oneness stammering so much?
His response to the Wall Street Journal’s assessment of him as left-wing is to deny he wants to redistribute income, a point which O’Reilly should have hammered him on.
He says he isn’t moving to the center, and that he’s the same person. Well, we know that. But he’s whining again that he inherited circumstances which made him have to take extraordinary steps.
The worst part of presidency? He’s wearing a sports jacket on on Super Bowl Sunday. He doesn’t like being in the bubble and can’t have spontaneous conversations with the folks. Umm, when did His Oneness EVER have a spontaneous conversation with any folk?
What he didn’t understand about the presidency: he knew it intellectually, but not in his gut, that everything which comes to his desk is a big problem which hasn’t been solved by somebody else.
There’s a common sense and decency to the American people which gives him hope even on his worst days. Excuse me, but he lets his minions and allies run around calling us cretins and violent and ignorant. I suspect our common sense and decency infuriates him daily.
People who dislike you don’t know you. What they hate is the fun-house mirror image that’s out there. He doesn’t take it personally. The hell he doesn’t! If his skin were any thinner his bones would fall out.
I will give His Oneness credit for arranging such a short time that O’Reilly could seldom press him, but I did notice Obama using the closed-hand finger point vigorously.
I remain unimpressed, and have little hope for part II.
Clarice Feldman nails the lightweight we suffer as our president.
When I find a video or transcript of the interview, I’ll post it.
UPDATE: Obama doesn’t think that Iran will wait until we leave and foment trouble in Iraq. He’s claiming to be spending less money, and that he wants Republican ideas on cutting spending. Maybe he should start by telling his Democratic colleagues to shut up and listen, or to at least stop demonizing every idea which has been presented.
Obama’s spin on how everyone has to compromise on spending — one must assume that translates as doing what he wants, which is the usual liberal definition of working together.
Obama wants O’Reilly and FOX to just give people the facts — but every time they do, he sends his minions out to lambaste them.
Nothing changes — note what His Oneness says, and watch his actions like a hawk.
