Ears and answers…

I have enjoyed watching clips of ordinary citizens standing up and demanding ears and answers from their Congress critters.    I have also been entertained with talking heads from both sides who gravely opine that yelling and being rude offends the public and prevents real discussions.    Rarely mentioned is the fact that Obama and the Democrats tried their damnedest to prevent open debate and discussion of anything to do with health care reform,  let alone allow citizens any opportunity to be heard.

And I have laughed out loud as His Oneness told us to shut up,  and his minions have thrown racist,  evil-monger,  un-American, dumber-than-Joe-the-plumber,  unpatriotic, stupid — oh,   I’m tired of typing all the garbage hurled at us.   I find it astonishing that the smooth,  cool Obama campaign has become so rattled that it thinks it appropriate for the president to act so unpresidential — so childish, really.

Lee Cary at American Thinker has a splendid column about Obama and the Democrat having encouraged the People’s Genie to come out of the bottle.    If you read nothing else this week,  read this and take heart!

And know that the White House,  Democrats and elites are galloping through their repertoire of smear,  ridicule,   harassment,  and intimidation to shut We the People up,  to stuff that genie back in its quiet bottle of repose.    It isn’t working.    All they’ve accomplished is to make the genie angrier,  citizens more suspicious,  and worst of all — encouraged people to inform themselves with real information.

We aren’t there yet,  but we’re walking towards my ultimate goal of making the government afraid of the citizens,  which is how it should be.    That is why the Founders gave us the Second Amendment, because they knew full well that an unarmed citizen becomes a subject,  and that government by nature tends towards tyranny.
