Obama’s opaque transparency…

I wondered why Obama suddenly called for a delay in the switch from analog to digital tv .  I knew it wasn’t because he was concerned about the people who, despite months of warnings crawling across their screens, are still waiting for the government to do something other than give them $40 coupons for converter boxes.

Thanks to the DC Examiner, we now know a delay  will seriously hurt Verizon,  and greatly benefit Clearwire, a company whose executive vp for policy is on leave as an  adviser to His Oneness.

Never heard of R. Gerard Salemme?  He’s also an Obama donor and a former lobbyist, and is advising the transition team on telecom policy.  It appears the team has failed to disclose Mr. Salemme’s involvement.
