What the auto bailout cost…

Try $16.6 billion.   Yeah,  His Oneness claims everything was repaid,  but that’s only the money his own administration spent rescuing the labor unions,  and none of the Bush Administration funding.

Examine the complete Troubled Asset Relief Program bailout:  taxpayers spent a total of $79.7 billion on the auto bailout,  received only $63.1 billion back,  so there was a total loss of $16.6 billion.   This article specifies the shortfalls accounting for the loss.
