2015 winter solstice…
Do you know anyone who went to Stonehenge yesterday to celebrate the Winter Solstice there? I don’t know anyone who was there on Tuesday morning to witness sunrise on the shortest day of the year, but I was acquainted with one among the five thousand who did so in 2014.
On the other hand, I have visited Stonehenge on a day of no particular importance, before the authorities had to rope the structure off to protect it, and I was impressed with both the size of the stones and the ingenuity required for a supposedly primitive people to cope with them.
