Yellow misery…

leave a comment »

If you live in the South you don’t need a chopper to send up  clouds of pollen.  Your vehicles are covered with it every  morning,  and not even a commercial car wash removes it all.  If you take enough antihistamine to suppress all your symptoms,  your boss will find you out cold on the floor.

Yep —  I love Spring with all the new growth and flowers and such,  but I hate how it makes me feel.  Spare a tad of sympathy for your friends who suffer.

Spring has sprung…

In many places we’re having June weather in March.   It is playing havoc for those of us with plant and pollen allergies.   Big Girl comes in with tassels and pollen all over,  but patiently submits to a quick rub with a towel at the back door if I catch her in time.   My lettuce will probably fail, so I’m now a salad maven,  picking leaves daily to get the most I can out of each Buttercrunch and Red Sails plant before they fry in the sun or bolt from the heat.

Still,  it’s spring,  so enjoy  these lovely pictures  —  a collection of time-lapse shots of flowers blooming.
