Check yourself, Nancy…

In her “letter to colleagues”,  which was actually a press release,  Speaker Pelosi claims the United States Postal Service  delivers Social  Security checks,  among other things.   How can she not know that Social Security checks have not been delivered by mail in a decade?   Dollars to donuts she was singing Saint Obama’s praises and cheering the use of technology to reduce costs and increase safety by taking the postal Service out of the equation.  So of course she wants the Postal Service to become Election Central, and therefore keeps conflating absentee ballots with regular ballots.  Absentee ballots require first-class postage.  They are expensive to handle and send and check and copies of the voter’s photo identification are required along with special envelopes.  Democrats do not care what it costs counties and states or the feds,  and they are vehemently opposed to requiring any sort of individual ID or tracking, because those things would impede their efforts to impede Republican candidates.

Pelosi is calling Congress back to  work on   for the Postal Service,  but her goal is to try to force Trump into handing over $25 billion so Democrats can claim the service has plenty of money to handle total all mail-in elections.

 

 

House is non-essential…

…and so are most politicians.   With Speaker Antoinette’s declaration that the House of Representatives would not return to work next week,  the House has declared itself non-essential.   Andrea Widburg not only describes the cowards accurately,  she does so with plenty of  stinging observations  from her own pen and the Twitter feed of Pradheep J. Shanker.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has sent the Speaker a letter containing  a plan  to open the House in a safe manner to get some of the peoples’ business done.  It is well-thought out and quite sensible,  but Pelosi is claiming the Capitol physician is preventing their return.  He is not,  for the simple reason he lacks the power to do so.  Pelosi is just lying,  as she is in the habit of doing.   The plan  has been  demonstrated in a small measure.

 

Nancy’s yard…

Someone  has topped  Laura Loomner’s feat at Nancy Pelosi’s house by hanging a sign in Spanish welcoming everyone on the Speaker’s front gate.  They also put one on the governor’s mansion, changing only the name.
