Surf’s up!

What happens when some of the world’s best surfers  show up  with shovels at Laguna Beach at 4:30 am?  Lots of mayhem and craziness but

The usual pandemic hysterics are screaming that they aren’t wearing masks!!!  Why do I suspect the alarmists have never ridden a wave in their lives,  and probably never done two strokes in the ocean?  I forecast that Gov. Newsom,  having more or less ordered the State and counties and municipalities to make fools of themselves by made a jackass of the state by covering  skate parks with tons of sand,  will strike back.   L.A. County covered up a Venice Beach skate park with sand to deter visitors  —  residents cleaned it up the next day.    Another got covered with four inches of sand so it could be used.  The skate boarders shifted to sand boards and trail bike paths.

I predict the governments at all levels will stomp their jackbooted bureaucratic feet and send a fleet of bulldozers and a flock of parks and recreation slaves to undo all the hard work.   Surfers do similar things several times a year in California, and the ocean and river tides generally erode them away in a day or so.  This one appears to have dug the river banks out more widely than usual, so it may last long enough to trick the bureaucrats into wastefully.  Oh I hope no one tells them the truth!
