Jindal sues…

The Louisiana governor  filed suit to lift the Obama Administration’s six-month moratorium against deepwater drilling,  about which it lied on the  experts’ opinions.   The White House  is appealing,  of course,  but do they really want the court to reiterate that  the government failed to justify the ban and misled the public?   That its actions were arbitrary and overbearing?

As Chris Horner details,   Jindal has  been successful,  at least temporarily,  but it’s a long way from over,   as you’ll understand after reading Horner’s book,  Power Grab.  Until you do,  feast your eyes  on a post featuring a Capitol Hill source noting that the Minerals Management Service under the proposed budget of His Oneness will lose $2 million in funding for environmental reviews.

The budget will also cut 1,100 U.S. Coast Guard positions,  in addition to ships,  aircraft and helicopters.    Of course,  you won’t need security teams if all MMS is doing is pushing alternative energy.

Call against climate…

You must call your Senators today and tell them to vote for  S. J. Resolution 26,  a resolution to block the EPA from usurping powers never delegated to it by Congress.  Chris Horner explains the deal concisely here and  here.

Daniel Foster adds  more and  Alan Caruba  fleshes out the real-world consequences of this resolution’s failure.

Yes,  His Oneness will promptly veto the measure if it passes,  but he will be blatantly ignoring the separation of powers and EPA will still be acting unconstitutionally.   Obama doesn’t care,  since he regards the Constitution as an inconvenience to be ignored when it doesn’t read the way he would write it.  but not only will that act cost him,  it will also have an effect on Elena Kagan’s confirmation hearings.

UPDATE:  Chris Horner has a boffo  addendum,  which is that the EPA’s endangerment finding the Obamatrons are furiously connecting to the oil spill doesn’t mention any of the reasons they’re talking about now.
