Patent law danger…

leave a comment »

Patent law is the sort of stuff which puts insomniacs straight to sleep,  but you need to jump on your Congress critters.   A bill has passed the Senate  because conservatives were asleep at the switch.  This bill is pushing “harmonization,”   which is global harmonization, which translates that we’re about to dumb down our patent system,  aligning it with the rest of the world.

It will benefit huge corporations like IBM and Dow,  who want to be able to file for patents in multiple countries using the same method,  and they don’t care that our current system gives the USA a competitive advantage.   The foreign model makes patent theft much easier and far less risky.

Scold your senators and inform your representatives!
