Wise cop…
A New Jersey gym opened up to its members Monday morning in violation of Gov. Murphy’s orders. FOX News had host Pete Hegseth there as well as a camera crew. A police officer did appear, informed the crowd of about 200 that they were in volition of the governor’s order, then wished them all a nice day and waked away to the group’s loud approval. Similar scenarios are being repeated daily across the country, but in some cases, power-mad governors and mayors insist law enforcement arrest violators. No one has mentioned that the police units who showed up to face off with the Michigan protesters were not beat cops, but riot squads and SWAT teams, in full armament and gear. The reason they did nothing is that the protesters were armed.
We now know that Vitamin D increases our defenses against coronavirus, so getting outside in the sun and exercising improves not only our immune systems, but also our mental health. Multiple studies show that the coronavirus is far less transmissible outdoors. Democrats and other lock-down proponents are shifting the goal posts from not overwhelming the health system, to flattening the curve of new infections, to testing everyone, to having no new cases, to having a certain cure, to having everyone vaccinated. Don’t kid yourself — progressives don’t give a damn about you or your family as individuals, only as votes or a part of a group useful as campaign props, then discarded. You would matter much more if you were an illegal alien, because they’d be fairly sure you’d stay on the government plantation, unlike the ungrateful blacks and others who have escaped. Always remember that the goal is to have government be afraid of you, not for you to be intimidated by the government. That could loosely be called Irish democracy, when the people run over the government, or civil disobedience, which is so much more high-toned and is reserved for Antifa thugs and other groups the Left approves of.
The owner of this group of restaurants is being prosecuted, unconstitutionally in my view, by former Congressman Keith Ellison. one could conclude that Ellison’s being a Muslim would make him inimical to establishments favoring alcohol, But he has been quite happy to cheer on the street violence of Antifa. Normal Americans are beginning to rebel against overbearing government, and it is right that they should do so. It’s also high time.
