You just know…
…that Tim Schrandt is smiling from above at the deliciously politically incorrect obit his family published for him. I would have enjoyed having a beer with this man, and I expect I’d find his family just as interesting and entertaining. This does make me consider writing my own obit to prevent my loved ones from sanitizing my mildly interesting life.
William Ziegler, R.I.P.
If Mr. Ziegler shared the sense of humor displayed by his family in his obituary, I would like very much to have met him. I assume he was at least partially responsible for the genuine humor displayed in the write-up, and I found it totally charming. As it is, I’ll have to settle for hoping to run into one of his descendants some day.
Leonard Smith, R.I.P.
I had never heard of Leonard Smith until I read this obituary, but I believe I would very much have enjoyed knowing him, if this splendid obituary is anything to go by. Assuming his children authored the obit, it’s fair to say that they certainly inherited many of his fine qualities, chief amongst them a deliciously wry sense of humor.
