Lawrence Eagleburger dies…

I had the pleasure of meeting him once when I was visiting D.C.,  and he struck me as one of the few State Department people who could do something other than practice the art of faking sincerity.   And unlike too many of the current crop,  Eagleburger never had the slightest difficulty  remembering that  his client was the United States of America.
