Hot feet…

Hawaii’s  Kilauea volcano  has woken up after a three-year dormancy, and has already spewed out a vast amount of lava.   The hordes of tourists flocking to see this natural wonder are being warned that the new footing may be a bit unsteady.   Having seen Kilauea myself from the safety of a viewing platform,  I’d say the authorities are understating the danger a bit.

This is peculiar…

I can’t remember ever hearing about lava coming out of the earth without a volcano involved,  but apparently it’s not only possible,  but  happening in  Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh State,  India.   And what the devil do you call flames, gases and magma spewing out of a four yard wide hole in the ground when it’s not coming from what we call a volcano?   A spew?   An earth-burp?
