Feeling smart?
That may change after you take this challenging quiz according to its creator, but I managed to score 100%. Of course, I started my formal education when public education was not so corrupted that it was impossible to get some actual education out of it. I’m not even surprised that only 3 of the 100 American college students who took the test made the 80% required to pass it.
Misunderstanding Easter…
His Oneness obviously doesn’t comprehend the first thing about Easter, perhaps because it isn’t about him, but a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You would think someone on his large staff could have bothered to come up with a weekly address containing a smidgen of substance and a faint glimmer of understanding — perhaps even a slight acknowledgement of the reason for the occasion.
Clueless at U.C.L.A.
I had to watch this video twice to get my head around it. In-state students pay as little as $23,000, out-of-state students at least twice that. Do any of their parents think they’re getting their money’s worth? Apparently they never watch any real news shows, or pay the slightest attention to the world around them. They probably aren’t stupid, but they are terrifyingly ignorant. No wonder they voted in such numbers for His Oneness.
New microbes…
Scientists have discovered some unknown microbes in a Chilean desert. The next time someone decries the terrible state of the world ecosystem, remind them that new life forms are discovered about every 18 months. What we don’t know about our own world amounts to an awful lot of information, and some of what the experts claim to know is wrong. Remember that the next time someone refers to experts.
The Krauthammer Index…
Read about the creation — and explanation — of the measure of knowledge and understanding from The Tygrrrr Express. I think the only placing I disagree with is Ralph Peters — probably because my mindset is more Green Beret than intelligence officer.
Then go here for an example of why I read Dr. K even when I disagree with him.
