PETA drones grounded…

PETA’s plan to  use drones  to impede hunting and fishing has been destroyed in Illinois by a new state law.   Personally,  I think it would have been a lot more fun for the hunters to shoot them down,  which would also have established a precedent for private citizens taking out any drones harassing them.

Precious Metal Purchasing Act…

leave a comment »

That’s the title of  Illinois SB-3341,  which would  require every gold  and silver transaction to be registered with the state,  ostensibly to help police recover stolen property and help raise revenue.    But the federal government has a history of confiscating gold,  so I’m not the only one concerned this bill could be an ominous sign of things to come.   How fitting that it comes from the legislature of the state His Oneness claims as his home.

Jesse Jr….

The Democratic establishment is wringing its collective dirty hands over  the downfall  of former Congressman Jesse Jackson,  Jr. and his former alderman wife,  Sandi.   They misused over $700 thousand of Jr’s campaign funds.   Some may say that the strangeness  of the items  the couple purchased means they were both crazy,  but I contend it’s the arrogance and sense of superiority and entitlement Jr. learned from his daddy.

I can’t help but wonder if his hospitalization for depression last year,  when he knew he was under investigation,  was to receive a lighter sentence.   He appears to be a candidate for up to a five-year sentence,  but I’m betting his doesn’t do a day in jail,  and that his wife doesn’t either.   Four of the recent Illinois governors have gone to prison,  but the Chicago machine provides special protection for those who prosper under its guiding hand..

100% of zero…

leave a comment »

Gov. Quinn is thrilled that the clueless idiots who make up the Illinois state House and Senate have just raised the  state’s  personal income tax rate by 67% and the business income tax rate by 46%.    Do you view the deal any more favorably by knowing the rate was 3% and is now 5%,  or are you suddenly content to ignore the fact that total tax burdens in Illinois are among the highest in the country?

Surrounding,  lower-tax states will no doubt welcome the individuals and businesses which flee the Democratic regime,  since they are smart enough to realize raising taxes won’t balance the budget.   100% of zero is still zero,   and that’s about how much additional revenue the state will collect,  but Quinn and the Dems will still be proud of their economic prowess.  Do note that it was done at the last minute by the old legislature,   just before the new one takes charge.

Apparently  some at the inaugural ball decided to hedge their bets.

Remember,  this is where His Oneness comes from.

Vote fraud begins…

leave a comment »

Vote fraud has  already commenced,  and how appropriate is it that is in Illinois?  But it’s only listing Green Party candidate “Whitney”  as “Whitey” in some places on some electronic voting machines,  so it’s no problem, right?

Just as there’s absolutely no problem with Our Lady of Perpetual Dissatisfaction electioneering inside a  polling place.

And of course it’s just fine for  a state university to email students and faculty urging them to vote early and help Democrats.

Back home in Illinois…

with one comment

Illinois Gov. Quinn is going to raise income taxes 50%,  but through Obama magic, it’s really going to be a tax cut for millions.”

And if that isn’t enough to make your head hurt, Cook County will now be known for something other than the customary Illinois election fraud, by requiring a right hand thumbprint from anyone selling property there.

But you watch — states will now be jacking up their taxes, so the few  people who’d benefit under the Obama plan will simply pay that to their states and municipalities.    The question will soon be:   how many of us are willing to hold our states accountable?    Start by reminding them that 60% of the jobs created in the last couple of years were in Texas, which has no state income tax.    Look at the number of businesses and workers who have fled Michigan and California in the last few years.
