His Oneness is sending money and jobs  to the place  he wasn’t born in and isn’t from.   Are your surprised to hear the energy projects will benefit GE?

EPA rebuked – finally…

leave a comment »

I don’t know why the federal courts have been so reluctant to take a 2×4 to EPA regulators when it evades both the law and its responsibilities,  but Judge Richard Leon  has now taken  that rogue agency to the woodshed and applied the sturdy paddle of common sense.

Obama is most certainly  anti-coal,   but he is also anti-cheap energy.    He warned during his presidential campaign that energy prices would  “necessarily skyrocket”,  and if he kills coal,  they certainly will.   A 60% increase  is probably a conservative estimate.

The  Interior Department  is also piling on.  GE and George Soros are among the few  who will profit  from the energy-limiting energy policies of His Oneness.    There is one more:  Sen.  Harry Reid, whose former aide Obama put in charge of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,  and as  a new report  shows,  has done everything possible to delay Yucca Mountain becoming a nuclear waste site in Reid’s home state.

No free speech…

Apparently the bullies in the White House are too prickly to allow even their favorite poodle  to speak freely about their anti-business attitudes and policies.

Foul foreign policy…

I wonder how the Poles and Czechs like having their steadfast support in Iraq and Afghanistan repaid with Obama’s announcement that he’s changing from Bush’s land-based missile defense system to one which is sea-based and less reliable?    It is  the work of  a rank amateur,  but  it’s perfectly in accordance with his  principles of making nice with our enemies and throwing allies under what has become a  very large bus.

Be sure to use the links in John Tabin’s excellent post.    As he notes,   His Oneness got NOTHING  for giving Russia what it wanted.   Our troops stationed in Europe,  and our allies,  will be less secure,   and the world sees what a weakling Obama is.    How Putin must be laughing!    Eastern Europe,   not so much.

And all this on the 70th anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Poland.  Oh yeah,  His Oneness is really sensitive,  and so well-informed about history.

All this on the day our Constitution is 222 years old.    What a battered  and shredded document it has become.

UPDATE:  Who profits from this abrupt change in the defense of Eastern Europe?   Besides Russia,  apparently GE,  one of Obama’s intimate connections.

And good for Poland’s Prime Minister,  who refused to take Hillary Clinton’s call to inform him of the betrayal.

Lying on cap-and-trade…

leave a comment »

For the disaster cap-and-trade will heap upon Michigan, see this editorial from  The Detroit News.

Of course, the paper neglects to mention the state’s Democratic governor,  Jennifer Granholm,  has already tried much of Obama’s economic plan,   and apparently remains surprised that businesses have fled to friendlier locales,  and unemployment continues to grow as they do so.

The last line gets it right:  “The only upside is that the negative impact it will have on economic growth and job creation will take care of the carbon emissions problem,  for sure.”

And that will be the story in EVERY state if cap-and-trade goes into effect.    Obama knows this, but he doesn’t care.    His ideology triumphs all else, as you are seeing.

What is hidden from your view is how cap-and-trade will profit  General Electric,   run into the ground by CEO Jeff Immel,  who put in a letter this week that he believes  the Obama administration will be a profitable “financier” and “key partner.”    This is the same Immel who continued to do business with Iran after denying the company did so.

GE has lobbied hard for the government to impose greenhouse gas restrictions.   According to Timothy Carney’s article, GE Employees and executives gave $1.35 million to politicians in the last election, its PAC $1.55 million.    About 64% of the total  went to Democrats, with Obama “easily the top recipient.”

GE”s  joint venture,  Greenhouse Gas Services,  invests in and “hopes to manage the trade in”  greenhouse gas credits.    If Obama’s budget line item labeled “climate revenues”  is expected to total $646 billion over 8 years,  how much do you imagine GE will be making off this scam?   Won’t that be a nice reward for backing His Oneness?
