Fridge hack…
Hackers recently pulled off a large-scale hack which involved TV sets and at least one “smart’ refrigerator. That is one reason why I will have no smart appliances in my house. My cell phone is an antique flip phone which makes and receives calls. It can’t be tracked when it’s turned off, which is one reason I still have it. As long as I can get replacement batteries for it, I’m good.
I do not need appliances and devices which think for me, since I am perfectly capable of arranging my own life, including being responsible for it. Humans make mistakes, I acknowledge, but so do electronics. Fool around with computers as long as I have, and you’ll learn firsthand Flagle’s Law about the perversity of inanimate objects.
