SpaceX soars…

Yesterday a private company went to space for  the very  first time.   After a weather delay,  SpaceX’s Falcon 9 and its Crew Dragon capsule launched the Commercial Crew Program into space.   Elon Musk has a big mouth and is quick to use taxpayer funding to enrich himself,  but isn’t everybody?  He is a creative and tough man,  as California has recently discovered,  but he has delivered an enormous blow to Boeing,  which is already suffering from recent failures.

Of course he is…

Why is anyone surprised that Elon Musk is a socialist?  All his businesses are based  on farming  the taxpayers,  via the government.  His Tesla cars haven’t earned him a penny.   But the company has been able to sell carbon emissions permits  provided by the State of California and accept a government loan.

Last week, Musk’s Boring Company won a bid with the City of Chicago, to build a “hyperloop” train from downtown to O’Hare International Airport.  I doubt he will be using more than a few pennies of his vast personal fortune on it.

Elon Musk says  they could  be.  He’s right of course,  but he raises a fear common to the modern age,  which is that the machines we create will overtake us then destroy us.   Stay tuned,  folks….
