Don’t ask, but DO tell…

The Senate has passed the repeal of Don’t Ask,  Don’t Tell.   We can thank Bill Clinton for this,  since he was the idiot who instituted DADT to begin with.   The military has always had gays,  and so long as they played by the service rules,  there were no problems.

Now the military will have the same problems as the private sector,  where gays initiate lawsuits claiming they were passed over for promotion only because they were gay.   And given that the military has been infected by the same wimpy political correctness as the rest of the country,  one can assume that it will do nothing to protect the straight soldiers who are the targets of the gays.

The handful of Republicans who were known or suspected to be voting in favor of the repeal let their mailboxes fill up this week so they wouldn’t have to talk to anyone.   They’ll be clear Monday,  and we can let them have it then.   Once the votes have been announced,  I’ll update this post.

UPDATE:   Here are the 6 Republicans who voted for social engineering,  which will soon be shoved down the throats of the rest of the country.   The education courses will probably begin shortly,  by which I mean military personnel will be told they can’t say or do anything which might offend any  gays or lesbians or transgendered people,  who as we all know,  are among the most sensitive organisms on earth when it comes to being victims.

If you want to know how they treat each other,  talk to emergency room personnel in any city with a sizable  gay or lesbian population.  You’ll hear things which will set your hair on fire.

Elections matter….

And if you don’t think so,  imagine what yet another round of activist progressive judges will do to us.  One district judge has just ruled  “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”   is unconstitutional and ordered it stopped throughout the U.S. military.

His Oneness decided Tuesday  to appeal the ruling,  but don’t assume it will be more than half-hearted,  for reasons Ed Whelan laid out a month ago,  and  more recently.
