Happy Obama Day!
Our glorious leader has given us all a birthday present — for the first time in history, S&P has downgraded the U.S. credit rating. Remember that Treasury Secretary Geithner said, way back in April, that we were in no danger of losing our credit rating standard (h/t to Drudge, who saved me from having to find the quote).
Of course, His Oneness is claiming “serious errors” in the S&P report.
Naturally, the downgrade could not possibly have anything to do with the fact that most of the debt ceiling increase was eaten up in a single day. Or perhaps the objection was to hearing that a record 45.8 million people are now on food stamps.
