Blessed Easter…

“So it is only because Jesus conquered His own anguish, conquered His fear, that we’re able to celebrate the resurrection. It’s only because He endured unimaginable pain that wracked His body and bore the sins of the world that He burdened — that burdened His soul that we are able to proclaim, “He is Risen!””

That’s from the remarks of His Oneness at an Easter prayer breakfast — you can watch the video with the link here.   For a man who is acclaimed as a great orator,  he certainly manages to goof a lot,  doesn’t he?

Or is the much-maligned teleprompter going rogue on him and starting to display what he really thinks,  instead of what he is supposed to say?

Today we can ignore him and concentrate on Him.

What if it’s true?

Cal Thomas has an  intriguing column asking what if the Christmas story were literally true in all respects?    And whether or not it’s so,  the world has had the most wondrous gift for more than two millennia.

Western civilization in particular  has profited mightily from the message.  Unfortunately,  the  Islamists neither wish to profit nor for anyone else to.

Enjoy this  John Miller  piece on the Star of Bethlehem.  End with Steve McCann’s story of  being saved by Christmas.
