Spring in France…

Printemps is French for spring, and the name of a famous Paris department store. French police have removed explosives from  there news agency Agence France-Presse received a bomb-threat letter from a group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front.

As no one has heard of the group, it’s likely a front for one of the usual suspects.  Their demand is for all French troops to be withdrawn from Afghanistan.

What do you imagine will be the incentive for various groups if The One carries out his campaign pledge to close Gitmo?

Sen. Sam Brownback has already announced he will fight tooth and nail to keep detainees out of Fort Leavenworth in his home state because he doesn’t want to see his constituents schoolchildren held hostage and murdered on national tv.  Most of his colleagues don’t comprehend the likely consequences of a closure, having grown accustomed to being insulated from such inconvenient details.
