Ginsburg forgets 14th…

No one should be surprised  that Justice  Ginsburg couldn’t remember what the 14th Amendment says,  and could not find the copy of the Constitution she thought was in her purse.   I am surprised that anyone in an audience of people who haed come to hear her speak had a copy.

I am surprised that she remembers the U.S. has a Constitution,  since she is a frequent supporter of using the laws of other countries to rule on cases before our Supreme Court.   I have probably written her once a year for as long as she has been on the Court to remind her who she works for and who pays her salary.  The only international law worth mentioning is maritime law, which is separate and apart from the laws of countries and issues very clear-cut rulings which look strictly at maritime laws,  not at social justice or anything else.

There is some irony to consider when it’s apparent that her two female colleagues, also liberals, appear even less familiar with our Constitution than Ginsburg is,  and write opinions worthy of high school sophomores.  We need Kavanaugh.
