Bathtub lake …

Lost Lake is the actual and totally appropriate name of this Oregon lake,  which disappears  down a hole every summer.   The phenomenon is apparently caused by nearby lava tubes,  one of which has collapsed beneath the lake,  causing it to drain out when there is insufficient summer rain.

 

 

 

Limping bear…

No,  that’s not a Native American name,  but what I’m calling Russia after seeing photos of its brand-new,  world-beater,  super-tank  broken down  and under tow in a parade rehearsal.   Perhaps the Armata will perform better in the actual parade.
