More union class…
In several districts, Louisiana teachers have canceled classes so they can hit Baton Rouge to protest Gov. Bobby Jindal’s proposed education reforms. When nearly half the state’s public schools received a failing grade last year, the proper thing to do is obviously go protest any effort to improve the system.
Of course, the two labor unions supporting — let’s face it — creating this protest don’t want the status quo changed, and hope the public doesn’t know that the charter schools which sprang up0 in the wake of the Katrina wipe-out are mostly doing quite well.
