Army Sgt. Sandra  Coast has just  completed basic training and is now serving in an Army reserve unit.  She was previously in the Navy.  Oh,  and she’s 51 years old.  Her Marine son is very proud of her, as he should be.

under They Don’t Make ‘Em Like This Any More.   John Fairfax was a bit of an anachronism even in his youth,  but he was  forever an adventurer  and a daring,  even reckless rascal.   But no matter what,  he was the first to row across each of the two oceans he tackled,  and it doesn’t matter that he rowed only 3 or 4 hours a day,  being smart enough to benefit from prevailing winds and currents.

Can you imagine any of today’s feminized metrosexuals apprenticing themselves to a pirate?   You might find the odd SEAL or Green Beret or Ranger who might do it,  but not the ordinary folk who are most of the population.
