Giffords gone…

I’m sorry a crazy man whose parents weren’t tough enough to monitor shot Rep. Gabby Giffords,  but all the tears and angst over her  resigning from Congress  is grandstanding and electioneering to help her party,  though am I uncertain how much of that she is capable of comprehending at this point because of her grievous injuries.  However,  the fact remains that Giffords has been unable to serve her constituents for over a year now,  and there is ample reason to think that Democrats would have been perfectly satisfied to maintain the status quo.   Democrats’ hope was  that no Republican would dare run against the injured congresswoman with the astronaut husband,  but the instant one announced his intention to do so,  Democrats had Giffords resign.

Northern Lights dancing…

The sun’s storm activity has  produced some spectacular light  displays.    If you’ve never seen the Northern Lights,  you really owe it to yourself to go somewhere and see them just once.   I have,  and it was well worth the price of the trip.
