Colorado declines…
Well, what do you know. Colorado citizens voted down a proposed tax hike by 64 % to 36%. The extra revenue was earmarked for education, and its proponents outspent the opponents by 20 to 1. Ross Kaminsky devoted a lot of blog and radio time to defeating the measure, so he deserves to be pleased.
But the most interesting thing is, as Paul Gigot points out, how many other local tax proposals were shot down. It would appear that the good taxpayers of Colorado are not buying the progressive mantra of “for the children!” or listening to the Occupy The Universe crowd.
