Dirt against disaster…

This is part  of what’s going on as the floods come.  The good thing about tornadoes is that once they’re past you,  they’re gone, but your efforts against them are over when they arrive.

With floods,  if you have the determination and some resources,  you try to fight them off,  as these people are attempting.  Generally your efforts fail,  but you have a cruel kind of hope that they won’t.    Even after the water is gone,  you’re left with snakes and mud and debris,  and a nasty assortment of molds,   some of which are as dangerous as the damned floods.
