Wouldn’t it be nice if the federal government had a big hole in the ground  stuffed full of these beauties?

Another failed meeting…

Remember the spill-response bill meeting the White House had in late June?   Chris Horner  showed why it was nothing of the sort.

Or His Oneness telling Republicans at his White House health care meeting that bringing the actual bill was  “using a prop”?

Well,  his supposed trade meeting with South Korea has been a bust,  too,  because   Korea’s too green to allow His Oneness to sign a trade agreement the Bush Administration had ready in 2007!  But he has to protect the  labor unions,  you know.

As Charles Krauthammer so memorably said Thursday night on FOX,   Obama thinks he can reinvent the world.   Truth be told,  His Oneness believes he can alter reality itself,  which isn’t actually so difficult as long as you persist in magical thinking.

California…

truly  is the land of  very bad ideas.    It’s also the epicenter of bad practices,  both financial and  ethical.

Its  new Governor is the same old Moonbeam who adores hanging with dictators,  and he still doesn’t know what he’s doing.  It is still stuck with Senator call-me Senator Boxer.   This is a state which borrows $40  million a day  to pay unemployment claims.   Did California voters really believe Democrats  were going to remain in charge?   Do they now believe a Republican House is going to give them a bailout?   Sarah Palin is correct when she says that state’s Democrats live on a unicorn ranch.

Try this for a  brief glimpse of that beautiful state and where it went wrong,  and do check out the book review.

Do some time travel with  this 1906 film of San Fran’s Market  Street before the earthquake and fire which destroyed it all.

Now ponder why so many people think California is so sophisticated and trendy and should be copied.
