Rangel vs Faulkner…

leave a comment »

Watch this video as some of old Charlie’s constituents say why they’re voting for his opponent,  Michel Faulkner,  who has been noticed by the Old Gray Lady herself,  albeit sneeringly.

Now that Rangel  has fired the law firm representing him in the ethics matter,  it appears he will represent himself at the hearing.   I spent years working in the legal system,  and I can tell you that when a client fires his law firm,  it is most often because he has received competent advice he refuses to follow.   I suspect that a few weeks after the elections we will be treated to visible proof that a man who chooses himself as a lawyer will be represented by a fool.   At the very least,  Rangel has just insured that there will be no good outcome for Democrats in the ethics trial.

Faulkner probably  won’t win this race,  but it’s a dead cert he’ll do better in the New York marathon than his opponent could hope to.

Terror via UPS?

leave a comment »

UPS planes have  been isolated at Newark and Philly due to suspicious packages.   FOX is reporting that the Newark plane has been cleared.

Apparently there was a  similar situation at  East Midlands near London, but information is a bit sketchy there.   FOX is reporting from the Leicestershire police a suspicious package in the UPS distribution area which came on a plane from Yemen headed to the USA.  FOX is now reporting that all the planes originated in Yemen except one in Philly which came from Paris.

So far this sounds like a terrorist feint,  which they like to do to test defenses and responses.    What this proves is that the  jihad Johnnies understand the liberals currently in charge to be pander pansies,  but haven’t the slightest clue to the psyches of ordinary Americans.    Do they really imagine that the threat will make us fold up  like France and beg Democrats to keep us safe?   The only way this helps Dems is if it pushes their  “accomplishments” off the front page.

That said,   Christine O’Donnell  has cut her opponents’ lead in half,  which may be due to revulsion at the Gawker sex hit job on her,  and Meg Whitman is suddenly  closing on Moonbeam Brown so that Rasmussen has moved the race back to toss-up.

I think it’s a probe in an effort to influence the elections,  given that there was also a bomb threat on the Metro this morning,  and there are more reports from  New York.

UPDATE:  Since nothing more than an altered toner cartridge seems to have been found,  this was a coordinated probe.    Nothing gives me less confidence than to know our panderer-in-chief was informed Thursday night.  His  pathetic remarks before turning the podium over to clueless John Brennan and bolting instill despair.   Claiming we’re working closer than ever with Yemeni officials may sound really good to His Oneness,  but he and Brennan are fools if they trust any of them a fraction as much as they appear to.

The L.A. Times has a  piece up,  and BigGovernment.com asks a question.   Andy McCarthy  has two good  posts up.

Winner Rubio…

leave a comment »

Battle ’10 has a concise   explanation of the Crist/Meek/Clinton/White House mess.   I caught On The Record and Crist  was evasive and whiny and just kept repeating Rubio was too extreme for Florida.

We know Bill Clinton is a liar,  we know Crist is,  and we know Obama and the White House are as well.   If you disagree on that, you must conclude that Meek is the liar.   Gee,  does this help anybody but Marco Rubio?

UPDATE:  An aide to Slick Willie  is confirming Clinton asked Meek to drop out.

More voting hiccups…

From New Mexico,   a scam in New Hampshire and more on  ACORN activities.    Much in service to the Democrats’  final plan,   all in line with progressive values,  you know,  those  core American values His Oneness is always claiming but never explaining,  though his value on gay marriage  is evolving.

Absentee ballot voting has  set a record in South Carolina.

Now Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee  is asking DoJ to  investigate whether tea party groups are intimidating black and Hispanic voters in her district.
You should read the  IBD piece on how our voting booths are as wide open as our borders.   The Ninth Circuit truly is waging a war on citizenship.
