On the precipice…
Did you watch His Oneness speaking after the Democratic health bill meeting at the White House? I thought his choice of “precipice” was accurate but hardly useful to his cause. Mary Katharine Ham noticed it too.
Michael Gerson takes a surprisingly harsh look at the process. The money quote: “Sometimes brain surgery is necessary, but this one is being conducted by moonlight with pruning shears and chicken wire.”
Dana Milbank points out Obama’s flip-flop on drug reimportation. Of course, he seems blind to the fact that because foreign governments force lower prices on them, Americans pay higher prices to make up the difference. Canada has already threatened to stop sending drugs back into the U.S. because it wants us to continue paying for their “cheap” drugs.
