Veterans…

If you don’t know how to explain the matchless value of our veterans, this will help.

Veteran’s Day is important to me,  partly because my late father was one of the Greatest Generation,  partly because every generation of my family has served in the military since the Revolutionary War.

And for some smiles,  go to Mental Floss (h/t Jonah at The Corner) to see videos of dogs welcoming their active duty soldiers home.   Is there anything better in the animal world than a dog’s greeting?

If you see vets,  thank them.    A whole generation who served in Vietnam were attacked and despised,  a stain on the American people,  not on the military.   They have all earned your thanks.  What have you done for them?
