Fort Hood and Islam…

You have to experience some stress to get post-traumatic stress syndrome.   For some it’s enough to be shot at,  for others it’s having the man next to you die.    Most military personnel never suffer from it.   If you are shouting “Allahu Akbar”  while shooting your fellow soldiers,  you are not suffering from PTS,  but from an excess of warped religious fervor.

I have always considered Islam to be an infantilizing belief system which permanently arrests male emotional development.    They are like 13 year old boys,  even when they’re 30.    Nothing is ever their fault.    Failure is always caused by someone or something else,  or Allah not willing their success.    The flip side is that the individual can never claim credit for any success.   It is a religion of supreme hypocrisy,  clinging to a 7th century system as the correct,  pure way,  while eagerly using modern technology to kill non-believers.

An old friend was a helicopter pilot trainer at Fort Rucker for many years,  and train many of our allies’ pilots.   He said that if something went wrong,  everyone —  even the French! —- would fight like hell to regain control,  but the Muslim pilots just threw up their hands and screamed it was Allah’s will.     These were men who spoke English and were accustomed to Western ways,  many having degrees from US universities,  and few being particularly observant Muslims with regard to alcohol and chasing women.    In all those years he had only ONE Muslim pilot who yelled,  then started taking corrective action.

Islam is a religion terrified of the world,  of the temptations of modernity and education and broadened experience.    To me it is a wonder that any adherent ends up even moderately sane.

Berlin Wall anniversary…

Is  this the reason His Oneness isn’t going to Berlin for the special anniversary celebration?    Does he realize vaguely that even with a herd of writers and multiple teleprompters,  he will never,  ever, give a speech half as good as the one Ronald Reagan gave at this place in service of liberty?

Don’t read, just vote!

Nancy Pelosi is  breaking her promise to put the House health reform bill on line for 72 hours before voting on it.

Her weasel spokesman is trying to claim she promised only to have the manager’s amendment online for that length of time.   He lies.

The Speaker is in an absolute panic to force the vote before any Democrats have time to contemplate both the New Jersey and Virginia elections and the thousands of seriously angry voters chanting  “Kill the bill!”  and  “Can you hear us now?”

And she certainly doesn’t want them looking into the abortion premium everyone will be forced to pay,  nor can she afford to allow a vote on Rep.  Joe Wilson’s amendment to force Congress onto the government plan.

Nor can she take the chance they will see some of the great posters at the protest rally  (“Liberty, not debt”),   or hear some of the Republican zingers  (Rep. and Dr.  Tom Price — “legislative malpractice”).

And she sure as hell doesn’t want any discussion of a $6 billion slush fund and bribes for votes.
