FutureGen power plants…

At last report,  there were a bunch of absurdities still in the Nelson/Collins version.

My favorite is the first:   $2 billion earmark  for FutureGen near zero emissions power plant in Illinois.    Gov. Blago was in favor of  it.

The Bush Administration canceled FutureGen some time ago, because the cost kept climbing  —  and the technology would be obsolete by the time the plant could open.    More.
